Alright first up, unfortunately you can't just install a Time Machine backup of a Mac that has High Sierra (before you've updated your firmware). I tried that, and while the installer does let you do it, you'll end up with a Mac that doesn't boot. What you need to do is go to the App Store on another Mac and download the High Sierra Installer. While that's doing that, head to and download the disk creator utility. You'll need a USB drive to use as the installer. In the Disk Creator appHow to Use:Open destination folder and locate file notes.txt, open it and read step by step.
